Tax Accountant I - 28942
This Accountant I - Tax role is responsible for Sales and Use Tax and related general ledger accounting functions.
This position will also interact with the Corporate Tax Department, Division Offices, and the Shared Services Center personnel providing assistance and support as needed.
Additional Responsibilities include:
o Preparation, review and timely filing of required Sales/Use Tax Returns o Prepare and coordinate account analyses, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end general accounting close for multiple divisions.
o Handle routine correspondence with states on sales tax matters.
o Ensure compliance with GAAP, Standard Accounting Manual, and other Company policies and procedures.
o Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required Professional Experience and Skills o 1 or more years of experience to include account analysis or reconciliation required o 1 or more years of practical experience in the Sales & Use Tax area preferred o Multi-State Sales/Use Tax experience strongly preferred.
o SAP and Vertex experience preferred o Beverage industry experience preferred o Excellent analytical skills required.
o Strong computer skills are essential, including proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access and Internet tax research tools.
o Flexibility to adjust work load and hours when necessary Foundation Skills:
o Team Skills/Collaboration - Work effectively in a team environment, and across teams where necessary, to develop relationships throughout the Company and to work collaboratively.
o Project Management - Ability to manage multiple projects in a matrix type organization.
